Robbyn Repp, AIFD

I'm Robbyn R Repp, the heart behind Petal to the Metal Flowers. With over a decade of experience in the floral industry, I specialize in Wedding florals, Sympathy designs, and hands-on floral education that bring the art of flowers to life.

After many years of running a successful flower shop on the Oregon Coast, I relocated to Roseburg, where I continue to serve clients throughout Douglas County, the Southern Oregon coast, and beyond.

I am a Nationally Accredited Florist, a member of the American Institute of Floral designers (AIFD), and serve on the AIFD Marketing Committee as well as the Regional board of directors. I am also a Professional Floral Communicator International (PFCI), which allows me to combine my love of design with my passion for education and storytelling.

Teaching is a cornerstone of my work. I currently teach floral classes with Umpqua Community College Community Connections program and offer workshops for students and aspiring floral designers, nurturing the next generation of creative talent. I also assist students in exploring grants, scholarships, and career pathways in floriculture and related industries.

Annie Chen, AIFD

Annie’s Passion for flowers began 2004 when a college girlfriend asked her to design her wedding flowers. Lacking any training or experience Annie tackled the job. Fortunately, the designs were glorious and Annie’s love of flowers and floral design has grown ever since.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Music from the University of Oregon, Annie switched gears and found a career in HR recruitment and then sales.  Working in the corporate world for over 10 years was a great experience but Annie’s entrepreneurial spirit, desire, and need for a flexible schedule led her down the path into a floral career.  Annie attended the Floral Design Institute in 2009 and then created Floral Sunshine, a full-service studio-based event floral business.

When Annie isn’t filling her bucket with her favorite flowers like dahlias and peonies, she’s filling her bucket with fresh fish and seafood.  Her accomplished bucket list includes: salmon, steelhead, trout, various rockfish, lingcod, tuna, halibut, perch, eel, mahi mahi, papio, smelt, shad, skate, sole, sturgeon, clams, mussels and crab.
